Winter is Back
This morning, we got up to a surprise—three inches of fresh snow on the ground. I lay awake around midnight, and it was still pouring rain. Heavy rain. Before I got up this morning, I heard the rumbling sound of a snowplow going. I was like, wait a minute. Snowplow? Am I hearing correctly? I sat up, pulled back the blinds, and the screen outside the bedroom window was covered in snow, hanging onto it.
One of my favorite verses in the Bible that talks about snow is Psalms 147:16. Did you ever notice this?
I love it. It says: “He spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes.”
Of course, a more important verse, perhaps, is Psalm 51:7. Everybody knows this verse. It is a very good and important verse. It reads:
“Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.”
Snow is beautiful. But with it, it brings coldness. I don’t like cold winters. I think I would look at winters differently if I had a nice big shop where I could pull my buses inside, work on them, and clean them on the inside where it was warm. Finances just have not permitted this for me yet. Buses always need maintenance. I’m praying to God for a shop, but He hasn’t answered that prayer just yet. I trust that one day, I can have my shop that I feel I could benefit from.
Until then, I will keep on keeping on.
Well, folks, I will sign off for this time. This is my first try on my blog page—more or less a trial run to see how it turns out. Until next Sunday, we shall tarry on and see what goodness this next week brings.
